Default How often are you calling this river?

MP3 is 70/9/1.6 Button is 18/4.5/1.5

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

MP3 ($109)
CO ($112.75)
Button ($98.50)
SB ($99.25)
BB ($102.50)
UTG ($66.25)
Hero ($195.50)
MP1 ($50.10)
MP2 ($41.20)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.50.
1 fold, Hero calls $1, 2 folds, MP3 calls $1, CO calls $1, Button raises to $7, 2 folds, Hero calls $6, MP3 calls $6, CO folds.

Flop: ($23.50) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets $10, MP3 calls $10, Button calls $10.

Turn: ($53.50) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets $25, MP3 raises to $50, Button calls $50, Hero calls $25.

River: ($203.50) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, MP3 calls $42 (All-In), Button calls $31.50 (All-In), Hero?.

Final Pot: $319

I am confident that I'm ahead of button's AK. I called MP3's minraise on the turn hoping to hit my FH because I was pretty sure he had a flush or straight. But now I have really good odds to call this river after button calls MP3's push. Since he is such a fish, he could be overplaying top pair or 2 pair. But then again, button could be slowplaying KK or hit his set of AA on the river. Do you call or fold?

Getting 8:1, I'm not gonna fold it.

I would have a very tough time laying it down, but it is probably the right move. With a straight possible and a flush possible I don't think both players are all in with 1 or 2 pair. Some one has the straight or the flush here.

Also, I should have mentioned this: pot the flop, 2/3 the turn. It's a very draw heavy board and you're giving good odds.

I really like betting half the pot on the flop. It looks sort of weak and a lot of times I will get the tight player to raise me. Plus it is good for me because I often bet half the pot with an OESD or flush draw, so it makes my play unpredictable.

By betting $20, it is more likely that MP3 will fold and button calls. By betting $10, I'm hoping MP3 calls, button raises, I call, MP3 folds after contributing some dead money. It also becomes much easier to get button's stack in the middle.

OK, fair enough, you underbet the flop because you wanted to represent weakness and get raised. Now that didn't work, so why are you still underbetting the turn?

I underbet the turn because I didn't know what to do. I feared that MP3 had hit his straight or flush. Really didn't know where I was at in the hand. But I don't like my play here. By only betting half the pot, I'm giving them good odds to hit a flush on the river.

I guess the underbet on the turn is pretty stupid because I wanted to keep the pot under control OOP, but then I ended up in a sticky situation anyway. Should I have gone 2/3 or full pot on this turn? I'm sort of clueless in this spot.

This is a really bad board for a weak lead.

i dont understand your flop bet, less then have the pot with drarw heavy board. Your asking them to draw out on you. 2/3 or pot it. River you are getting 8:1 but 99.9% sure that your beat. I would feel pretty bad laying this down but i would feel worse making this call.

MP3 had A8 and button had AK, as I suspected. I was very surprised MP3 didn't have a straight or flush. I really messed this hand up and got very lucky to still win.
