My girlfriend, 311, and chakras....

Since I'm mentioning Melissa, I'll give you guys the best pic of her I have right now (we just started going out, hence the lack of pics.) She's the nurse at the top left. I'm Ross. Bob Ross. One of my canvases is also pictured running around in a diaper.



Anyways, last night me, her, my mohawked friend Dave and his pothead buddy "Ganj" are driving to this 311 concert in Spokane. She's drinking Monarch, the rest of us are getting high.

Anyway, she senses that we're all stoned and decides to start telling us all this [censored] about her spirituality... I'm still in the dark about it, cuz I was high.

Long story short, her parents traveled around the world for half of their lives researching religions and taking bits and pieces of different ones in order to form their own views. Melissa says this is metaphysics, but I think she's confused, because as far as I know, metaphysics is just theories concerning the ultimate nature of reality.

So she's telling us she's not religious (which is great cuz I'm not either) and that she's only concerned with metaphysics; then she starts talking about how she believes in reincarnation and chakras and all kinds of other weird stuff that I forgot cuz I was high.

Anyways, this is all new to me. She didn't explain it enough to me, but it all sounded like craziness to me. But, I need some trusted opinions on these subjects, because I'm trying to open-minded.

So, do you guys wanna help me out with learning this stuff? I looked chakras up on the internet but I just kept getting linked to these rainbow-colored hippie websites that don't really explain anything scientifically. (Maybe because it's impossible?) Meh.

Well, I didn't know much about 311 save like 4 songs. And again, I was really high. All I know is, they played some really loud rock songs. It was an awesome performance to watch though.

Thanks. It was a big hit. I tried to touch on every detail... i.e., unbuttoned rolled-up shirt tucked into some tight jeans with a pillow tucked in the belly, and a brush and easel. I had the voice down too. God bless. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
