A couple of hands I played tonight

Just for discussion. Maybe some unorthodox plays, maybe not. I think that my decisions are correct.

Online 6-max (5 handed)

I'm UTG+1 and am dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. UTG folds and I raise. SB and BB both call. They both suck. Probably like 50/5 for those so inclined. I didn't have a HUD running.

Flop is 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

They check, I bet, SB calls, BB folds.

Turn is 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

SB checks and I check.

River is 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

SB checks and I bet.

Same table, two minutes later.

I'm dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in the SB.

UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, folds, Button raises, I call, BB folds, UTG and UTG+1 call.

Flop is A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Checked to Button, he bets, I raise.

Button is decent. Probably like a 30/8 guy (but not the good kind of 30/8) for those so inclined. I didn't have a HUD running.

hand 1: bet the turn and check river. since you checked the turn, I would check/call the river. you will probably only get called by a 2 or low pp.

hand 2: I probably bet out and try to get some action for a FD, since I think we need to improve to win.

Hand 1 I think I really like the Turn Check and the river bet.

I like hand 2 as well, but I really want to know your reasoning behind the raise.

Hand 1: I use this line often. The turn check looks like you are fearing the flush with a made hand.

Hand 2: Uh, turn and river 2 more 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] for the super duper jackpot wheel of fortune bonus.

turn check is fine usually, but I can't see value in a river bet in hand 1

hand 1 is easy. I'd have to be pretty sure he's willing to let his 2s get checked through to not bet.

hand 2 is a lie. I'm assumin it's A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] on the flop though, so it's good too.

Really, this is just another place for me to tell you how lame your name change is.

This change might alter some of y'alls thinking.

I think that betting the turn and checking behind on the river in hand 1 is not as good as my line. I did, however, consider it. And yes, that is a river value bet.

I don't think you're ahead 55% of the time that you get called. I think only A high or better calls, and I can't see him having A-high 55% of the time he calls.
