Nut straight on paired board... of course.
Villain is the biggest fish I've ever seen. When I first sat down - and the only reason I sat down is I happened to start watching the game and saw that it was incredibly easy, so as soon as a seat to his right opened up I jumped in - he was at 800.
I can't figure out how to make the converter work for FullTilt, so bear with me please. FullTiltPoker Game #266017685: Table Coralie (6 max) - $1/$2 - No Limit Hold'em - 7:06:23 ET - 2005/10/26 Seat 1: HustleMinezZ ($201.25) Seat 2: Villain ($610.75) Seat 3: Heresy ($408.55) Seat 4: Big Spendurr ($49.80) Big Spendurr posts the small blind of $1 HustleMinezZ posts the big blind of $2 The button is in seat #3 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to Heresy [Ks Qd] Villain calls $2 Heresy calls $2 Big Spendurr calls $1 HustleMinezZ checks *** FLOP *** [9h Tc Jd] Big Spendurr bets $8 HustleMinezZ raises to $16 Villain calls $16 Heresy raises to $30 Big Spendurr folds HustleMinezZ calls $14 Villain calls $14 *** TURN *** [9h Tc Jd] [8d] HustleMinezZ checks Villain checks Heresy bets $55 HustleMinezZ has 15 seconds left to act HustleMinezZ folds Villain calls $55 *** RIVER *** [9h Tc Jd 8d] [9c] Villain checks Heresy bets $321.55, and is all in My main question is what do you all think of the river push. Hand 2 Same Villain a little earlier in the session. I had about 300, he had me covered. I'm in BB and look down at AA. Folds to him in SB, he completes, I make it 6, he calls. Flop: J,5,2r (12) Bet 6, he check-raises to 12. I Call Turn: 5 (35) He bets 20, I call. River: J (75) He bets 30. Who calls? Kirk |

Re: Nut straight on paired board... of course.
hand 1: I like the shove. Villain seems to like his hand.
hand 2: What does "completes" mean? Fold, though. Unless you're pretty sure he has an overpair. |

Re: Nut straight on paired board... of course.
Hand 1: Well I guess if he is such a fish, then the river push is ok. Against anyone else, I'd make a 1/2 pot value bet, folding to a raise.
I think you could have raised more like $50 on the flop, and then bet more on the turn, leaving an easier push on the river. Ojo_Rojo |

What does "completes" mean? [/ QUOTE ] I, like, totally know the answer. It means he pays the rest of his blind. |

Re: Nut straight on paired board... of course.
Sorry, missed it. I think you played it fine. There could be an arguement for raising on the turn if the villain is a mule - but maybe thats just results orientated hindsight..
btw I would fold on the river. Cheers! Ojo_Rojo Ojo_Rojo |

RESULTS
Hand 1) He instantly called... and mucked. I checked the HH and, as expected, saw QT.
Hand 2) I thought until my timer almost ran out and finally made the donkey call as I was getting 3:1. He had 8T for a stone cold bluff (but a good one if only he bet more). Kirk |
