Don't you think the turn raise subjects you to getting 3-bet when you really don't want to get 3-bet?

[/ QUOTE ]would you say the same thing if my hand was JJ?
do you see my point?

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't see your point at all. With JJ, the turn raise would be easy because there's tons of value in it, and even if you get 3-bet, you're in no tough spot because you're probably still a favorite. With AQ though, there's much less value in the turn raise, and getting 3-bet sucks because no matter how you respond to it, you'll either 1) fold the possibly best hand, 2) get to showdown at less favorable odds (as opposed to calling down), or 3) fold live outs.

What am I missing??

ok... your point is valid here... im just pointint out to you that you should not be afraid to raise w/ a non-nut hand that figures to be good a high percentage of the time because you may open yourself up to be reraised. itll just be one more bet anyway.

BTW/ i prob didnt stress how aggresive this guy is in the OP... he is v aggro PF and has been in thegame constantly since ive been playing in it the past few weeks... we have gone at it in a big way so we have some metagame going.. basically ive been threebetting his ass extremely light and just giving him a lot of action.

the river bet here is totally opponent dependent. the read you give isn't enough to say whether it's correct or not. this is the kind of situation where paying attention to the game is really important. you have to know what's happened in the past 20 hands or so, and you have to know your opponent.

it's a feel thing. my guess is you posted this hand because you know you played it well, and you knew your hand was good when you bet the river.
