Default Question regarding my opponent and pot odds

I know I played the following hand correct, but my opponent plays 3 tables of 2/4 Stud and I was shocked when the showdown came, as I thought he was making a mistake to play that hand against me.

Did he have the pot odds?

He has a live 3 flush, it is standard to call another bet closing the action on fourth in a multiway raised pot on third.

SM&Z say you should see 5th about 60% of the time with a 3 flush that doesn't catch another of its suit.

It's as much as 60% of the time, which is a different statement. Here circumstances are less-than-ideal, because there aren't many people in and the pot is relatively small. Still, his call on fourth closes the action, and spades are pretty live. I've certainly made worse calls. Once he picks up the big draw on fifth, he ain't goin' anywhere, nor should he.
