I know its not popular around here, but I would bring-in for the full bet. The last thing you want here is the usual flock of limpers you get at 2/4, and the main point of limping is to reraise. At this level, too many pots are unraised for this to work well in my opinion.

Fifth could well be a fold - it appears that he's picked up a pair of kings to go with his jacks, leaving you two outs in a not very large pot.

I play it the same, although bringing it in for full price does have merit.

Default Andy has a new avatar!

I'm not sure if this deserves its own thread. Wow, Andy changed his avatar.

I know it's not "exciting," to just call down, but I think you played it fine. Raising is too risky.

No, 4th is obvious...I'm saying it's too risky to raise the later streets. And folding would be wrong. So there seems to be only one course of action.

i usually raise 3rd street here.

the river is pretty close. you still got your unimproved queens, but the pot's big enough to see a showdown i think.

It would seem the general play is to BI for a full bet, thus announcing you have something.

I'm still undecided about the whole "showing strength & invoking fears and folds" compared to deception, though deception is costly when you can't shake the leeches laster on.

Hmm.
