Default Help creating new Poker App

I am planning on creating a little Poker App (C++ or Java based) and was wondering does anyone have any idea what source code on sourceforge is of any value to save me some time. Basically I'd like to get some code for a poker table, cards, and a simple way to tell it which cards to display and what actions to let the user take. Doesn't have to be fancy. Then I can modify it from there for my purposes.

My search for "poker" on SourceForge turned up 24 different projects. I haven't found any of them to be useful yet.

At the moment all I can offer a free copy of this future piece of software to whomever can help me the most...

Tables and cards are simply graphics and there are many sources for them online.

Hello Steve,

I have quite a bit of Poker Java source code. It is rough, because I haven't had the time I was hoping for, to devote to it.

There are two fundamentals apps I have. The first is a working model (with some gaps ;( ) of a casino software, without all the security stuff etc. The game is defined by rules, so it can be adjusted. At the moment it has a lot of debugging code still in it and is very much a work in progress, a first cut. I am thinking of getting back to square one withy the model. The second is a framework, that ties Pocker Tracker (Postgres DB) to JFreechart (an excellent open source charting framework - probably an overkill). For this one I have a couple of demo programs (Cumulative P&L and BB/100 charts). This would be relatively easy to augment. It is also a first cut, and I am still thinking out/ruminating the best approach via UML modelling.

I am quite interested in developping a fully fledged and extensible framework, as I think there are many ooportunities for software application related to Poker.

PM me your e-mail address and I will send you some UML modelling documentation that I have been developping for these Poker applications, as a start. We will take it from there.

By the way, I have 35 years+ (truly), professional software development experience

Cheers

I'm looking for more than just the graphics. I'm looking for a readymade hand replayer such as the one that comes with PokerTracker (that I could get the code to, so as to add a few additional features)

Heya Steve,

I attached a zipped file (size 878kb) containing html docs to the e-mail address you gave me. The e-mail SMPT server refused to relay the message. I suspect it was blocked as it has an attachement containing zipped html + jscript (frames).

Have you got a different e-mail address available (not yahoo)?

Cheers
