Default live straddle

If UTG is straddling in a 6-max game would you need a stronger, same strength, or weaker hand to three bet than be first to raise if there were no strattler?

if other's aren't adjusting a slightly weaker, cos risking 3 to get heads up for 4ish or to win 3ish via steal as opposed to risking 2 to play for 2ish headup or win 1ish via steal.

3 of 6 random hands have put 3.sb into the pot blind, and offered you extra leverage (3-bet is first raise) to get it headsup

Thats what I thought also. But I read in HFAP (pg. 217) that you need a stronger hand. I agree with your logic that if you can get it heads up against a random hand you would have a huge advantage.
