What could I have done differently?

Absolute Poker 1/2 Hold'em (6 handed) converter

I would just call the river. He is either bluffing or has a hand better than yours. He is not value betting a worse hand after your turn raise.

I agree calling the river is right--against agood opponent...however I can't always bring myself to do it so I usually throw in a raise if he is a donk. Obviously player depedant though. However, once he 3-bets you, you need to just call.

raise this river everytime against an unknown. i assume you wouldn't cap the river if he wasn't almost all in, right?

On the river the 4 either helped him or he's full of it. If he's full of it, we're not getting paid often after showing this much strength - what hands of his would he call with? If the 4 helped him (A4 plays this way very often) then we're getting an expensive river, because we'll def be capping him cause he "Might be stacking off."
