Getting Away From Losing Hands
I've only played about 3K hands 6 max so I'm still trying to plug leaks. I'm finding it hard to get away from hands I would routinely dump in full games, in large part to the higher aggression levels at 6 max. Especially 2nd. pair good or top kicker situations. I know I misplayed this hand, I'm not sure how early I should have dumped it. Should I have folded on the turn raise or taken the card and then folded the river?

Re: Getting Away From Losing Hands
On the turn, if you are beat you are drawing nearly dead.
Is MP superaggressive that will bluff this turn over 30% of the time? If MP is an average player, you will lose this hand enough times that calling 2 more bets for a showdown is too expensive. This is why you usually bet this turn instead of check-calling. It costs almost one less BB if you are beat. |
