No, not with a very good multiway hand, and the button. I also play better postflop than these guys.

No chance of folding preflop? [/ QUOTE ] Since it's suited, only a minraise, and on the button, I'd normally say it's ok to call, since it's not like we're gonna go broke with it if we flop a pair. Umm. |

Bump Mathprof, what hands do you put him on on the turn? I put him on a flush draw with the instant call on the flop. [/ QUOTE ] ty for mentioning the read in the first post wayfare, a flush draw (reasonable holding to the turn) doesn't min raise the turn. I dont like the turn call. once you call the turn you know the rest will go in on the river. Save the money, fold the turn. Once you do call and hit the 3 outer you myst call though. |

Re: Big stacks put wayfare to the test

K9, flush draw, OESD, nothing...? [/ QUOTE ] First of all, why would this guy call a flop bet with nothing, when there are two players left to act behind him? Would this guy actually call a bet there, out of position, in hopes that the others will fold, AND that you don't have much of a hand, just so that he can try to bluff later? Secondly, if he can't beat your KT, isn't this a pretty freakin strange way to bluff? 95% of players I encountered in those six-max games (I think this was a six-max hand, but I'm too lazy to confirm) were completely incapable of ever folding to a minraise, regardless of the fact that they may have no hand and no draw. If he wants you to fold, this isn't the way I'd expect him to do it. |

Re: Big stacks put wayfare to the test
So you put him on a better king? Yet he didn't raise preflop? And he didn't raise the flop?
Dubious. |

[/ QUOTE ] Right, and the reason I'd fold this is because when you hit the K you're likely behind to a person raising you. If you give it up easily on a flop with a K then I guess it's no trouble, but apparently it is in this case. |

Re: Big stacks put wayfare to the test
I would be inclined to think he has 22. He reads your flop bet as not having a flush draw, so he cold calls. Min turn raise smells like a monster to me. I'd fold to that, and seek to improve my read on him before getting all in with two pair on a paired board.
