I called because i thought it unlikely he had a fush or a jack in his hand, and that the chances that he had AK - or even 99/TT were greater than the chances he had AAA or KKK. And the guy was kind of a psycho and had made overbet bluffs before and didn't seem the type to be "setting me up" earlier. I don't know. He had AKhh and flipped it up like it was the nuts - so he was worse than i thought.

River push as a bluff? Value bet? What would you put him on to push the river? I can't really see a worse hand paying you off but at the same time he probably isn't folding a jack. It doesn't look like he has the flush with the big spades out, so I think check-call is fine, and I'd expect you to have the best hand here most of the time anyway.

Push river to get him to lay down AAA or KKK.

Well like I said in my post, the majority of live players are a damn joke. It is truly incredible.

I figured the only way you could have possibly won this hand was if he had AK and played like the worst poker player in the world.

It is truly hilarious.

nh nevertheless, but only you could have made that call live, cause that is an obvious fold IMO.

unbelieveable

Well, if you'd mentioned that, then I woulda said check/call river instead of fold.

The key here for me is the range in which the villain is value betting. Does it include top 2? top set? Much easier to justify this type of call if you can rule out non straight hands he would never value.
