Default Stars FPP --> Satellite --> Cash

So, we all know by now that Stars won't be offering us cash for our FPPs with this new VIP rewards program. What I was hoping someone could tell me, as I don't have much experience on Stars, is whether or not this idea is possible.

Could you simply take all of the FPPs that you earn, turn around and enter FPP Satellites, and whenever you win one...withdraw from the main event, and then use the T$ for SNGs?

I play SNGs exclusively and wonder if this turns out to be a great deal for SNG players (paticularly those that intend on getting to Supernova like myself). And possibly even a fantastic deal if you are extremely good at finishing first in SNGs (not like myself).

Could someone tell me if this is even possible...and if so, does it work out to be a good deal for an SNG player to help build his bankroll? Or would I be better off hoarding 32 in plasmas and selling them on Ebay?

Thanks.

As of today this would work. Who knows if it will last. The 3600 FPP's look like the closest thing to direct RB to me, just don't go oh-fer-twenty or you'll wish you took the 24" Dell

Another option would be to play as many of the Sunday events as possible.

Yeah, I figure that I can buyin to the $500 event once every week or two with how many FPP's I will be earning. I'm just not too overly confident in my MTT play at this point..but that may turn out to be the best route.

currently you can unregister from MTT's that you qualify for and keep the T$ for SNG type play.
But since it's a 'ticket' to one of these bigger events we can't know yet if this will work for the FPP-rewards stuff.

I too will be interested to see how this works regarding unregsitering for T$.

how high and how many SNG's would you have to play to make it the Supernova?
If you play as 100+9 SNG's then I think you would get 54 VRP's per tourney. If you are 4-tabling these then that's about 200 VRP's per hour and a half perhaps (SNG's are longer structures on Stars than other sites...unless you play the turbos they have now).

4-tabling the 3/6 or 5/10 limit should get more VRP's than that.

I just don't see it being very easy to rach super-nova or earn points via SNG's...but maybe I'm wrong.

for 'sort of' real cash options:
there's also the $500 and $2500 'travel' voucher as well as the $1000 Nieman-Marcus certificate.

Perhaps they will other gift-card stuff from Amazon, Best Buy, WalMart, etc in the future (stuff that to me would come closer to working 'like' cash).

I expect that if Stars works out a deal with one of these companies then they get some sort of rebate (stars pays $95 for each $100 gift-card at WalMart when bought in bulk...and then sells them for $100 in FPP value....also WalMart gets marketing exposure just by having their logo and link up on the FPP store).

What the OP means is not to use tickets to enter $215 Sunday tourneys, but use FPPs earned to play FPP S & G satellites to the same Sunday tourney, and then unregister (if he qualifies) and get T$. Subsequently using T$ to play regular S & G for money. That does seem the best scheme for one who is S & G specialist.

Some calculation assuming Supernova status and playing $20+$2 money S & G and 1,500 FPP S & G satellites.

- 1,500 FPP satellites yield 1.6c per FPP (9 players for $215 award)
- $20 +$2 S & G gives 10 FPP x 3.5 = 35 FPPs
- 35 FPPs value is 56c
- 56c for $2 fee is 28% RB

Not counting Supernoval freerolls.
