Default Value bet River?

$2-4, 6 handed. Two folds to me, I raise with Qd Jd, button and SB fold, BB calls. BB is new to the table, but seems pretty loose, played most of his hands, no other reads.

Flop: Th 8d Td
He checks, I bet, he calls

Turn: 7d
He checks, I bet, He raises, I reraise, he calls

River: 8h

He checks, I?

Bet, I think most of the time you're shown a stright here, some crazy J9 or somthing. Call a raise.

I changed my mind. I think I like bet/fold better. I don't think he bluff check-raises this river.

River?? Let's talk about that turn. I don't care how loose he is, but he is telling us that the flop hit him and not us. We should either a) fold, or b) figure he's bluffing and /maybe/ call down. I'm strongly leaning towards folding to the turn c/r. ..and I would not bet this river.

I check here, just to save a bet. But you can also bet and fold to a raise. Problem is you don't have much of a read on the player other than that he's loose preflop. It is a strange river check from him, and actually makes me think he's got a flush too. If you bet, he will call with flushes that beat you as well as an 8. I don't think it matters much either way.

looking at this properly, I check the river. Villain played like he had trips on the flop, and we'd have to fold to a c/r.
