I think check-folding the turn in hand 1 sucks but I might be results oriented.
I like how you played hand 2. In this situation I would call the river out of frustration, but it seems like a -EV call to me if Villain is at all reasonable.

yeah i misplayed the turn -

because the K dropped i should have changed my plan and donked the turn, but his aggression led me to believe i would pull of a check raise very often when most other turn cards fell.

i would be confused as hell if an A dropped.
