Hand 1 is fine in my opinion.
Hand 2 though...

First I'd fold that preflop, second, what's the point of raising? Try to scare him off?

you hit your flush 35% of the time so HU there is no +EV to raise. How often do you knock him off when you raise?

I'd call his bets and hope for another clubs.

The OP made a mistake when posting the hand. The flop showed two 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]'s in the deck. The card was actually 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. If he had the flush draw, I'd like his play a lot more.
