Default Do you like this agressive semi-bluff?

I just finished reading this section in ToP and this was the first big draw I had to try it out on.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed) converter

MP3 ($140.75)
CO ($100.25)
Button ($83.83)
Hero ($176.55)
BB ($79.97)
UTG ($136.90)
UTG+1 ($99)
MP1 ($182.27)
MP2 ($153.68)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $0.50.
UTG calls $1, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, MP2 calls $1, MP3 calls $1, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Button calls $1, Hero (poster) completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($6) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(6 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $4</font>, BB calls $4, UTG folds, <font color="#CC3333">MP2 raises to $8</font>, MP3 calls $8, Button folds, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $25</font>, BB folds, MP2 folds, MP3 calls $17.

Turn: ($68) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $40</font>, MP3 calls $40.

River: ($148) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, MP3 checks.

Final Pot: $148

In addition to the strong possibility that I could have connected, I also got some major advertising for this play. 2 or 3 players at the table berated me, which allowed be to donk the hell out of this AA 10 hands later without worrying about being too obvious.

UTG+1 ($117.80)
UTG+2 ($180.25)

SB ($163.12)
BB ($134.18)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. MP3 posts a blind of $1. SB posts a blind of $0.50.
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG+1 calls $1, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $6</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP3 (poster) raises to $10</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises to $29</font>, UTG+1 folds, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $65</font>, MP3 calls $19.70 (All-In), BB calls $35.

Flop: ($162.20) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players, 1 all-in)</font>
BB calls $69.18 (All-In), Hero calls $37.05 (All-In).

Turn: ($268.43) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players, 3 all-in)</font>

River: ($268.43) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players, 3 all-in)</font>

Final Pot: $268.43

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
BB has Qh Qd (one pair, queens).
Hero has Ah Ac (one pair, aces).
MP3 has Jh Jd (one pair, jacks).
Outcome: Hero wins $236.30. BB wins $32.13. </font>

The caller with QQ was a pretty tight player and I really believe that my earlier play influenced his call. I'm still a beginner at big draw aggression, so is there anything you would have done different?

I would probably opt for a more passive line in the first hand... semi bluffs into a field of players generally isn't a great idea. The idea with big draws is you either want to put as little in as possible or the whole thing, plus there's an excellent chance that there is someone with a lower flush draw who you will almost certainly stack if you allow them to stack around. If you're going to 3 bet, push. Yes, it's awkward with your deep stack, but you have so much pot equity that it almost doesn't matter, plus you will have a lot of folding equity.

In second hand I probably just push preflop.

Hand 1: If your going to lead into a field with such a big draw, the plan should be to 3-bet all-in against any raise. In this case, I might even overbet the pot due to my equity and the texture of the board. Otherwise just check call, and hope to stack one of the donkeys when you get them flush over flush.

Hand 2: BB probably has KK or QQ, just shove preflop he's not folding. Neither is MP3 with his stack size.
