The same old chip distribution question

Currently, I have 1100 faux clay in the following colors:

White 400
Red 250
Blue 250
Grey 100
Yellow 100

Am thinking of giving away 500 to a family member, and am deciding which 600 to keep. Mostly play Limit -- though may do a tourney.

What do people think of the following

White 400 Keep 300 Give 100
Red 250 Keep 100 Give 150
Blue 250 Keep 150 Give 100
Yellow 100 Keep 50 Give 50
Grey 100 Keep 0 Give 100

Does this make the best distribution for keeping (even though it makes a pretty mottley set to give away).

Any other suggestions on what to do so that I have a decent set, but the givaway set is ok too would be appreciated.
