Default Poker room review: Windsor Casino, Canada

The casino has 10 tables, and relatively long wait lists because of the high interest.

They offer 1/2 NL at $12/hr rake and $100 max buy.
They also offer 2/5 NL at $14/hr rake and $200 max buy.
The only real NL game they offer is a $5/10 uncapped game, with $14/hr rake.

It also features poor service, dealers that mess up a lot, and a floorman that doesn't know basic poker rules (Steve).

Needless to say, it is almost impossible to make money with the above structures, and the experience was pretty miserable overall. I will not be back.

I was on my way to Michigan through Canada and wanted to check out that cardroom since the GF's father had comp there, but didn't enter. That rake system sounds awful, though.

Are there any reviews of the Detroit casino poker rooms?

I have played poker at the Casino Windsor, and i would have to agree with you on all counts. What sucks for us Americans playing there is the exchange rate and no free drinks(ugh). Unfortunately it is the only game in town right now.

I played up in Windsor a few months back at the 3-6 tables and it was seriously the most money I have ever made. In a two day trip I averaged a win rate of 15 BB/hr. No joke.

The 3/6 and the 5/10 with $5 max rate feature some of the best games I have ever played in. The 3/6 much more so than the 5/10.
