Calculating whether or not to call.

I know you should usually use pot odds when determining whether or not to call. However, having spent more time studying pot equity, I have a new question regarding pot odds and pot equity.

Suppose you are on the button, heads up, and your aggressive opponent bets. You have AQs and the flop is T74 rainbow. Pot odds dictate that two over cards are only 24% to improve. But Poker Stove says your pot equity is 52%.

If you go strictly by the pot odds, you shouldn’t call more than a 1/4 pot sized bet. But considering your pot equity, is it really –EV to call more than a 1/4 pot sized bet?

Is there a way to factor the correct percentage? Or do you simply disregard pot equity completely when calling bets? And therefore can only refer to the 24%, plus a little added percentage considering your opponent frequently bluffs.
