Default Turn call/River Fold

Villain is a tight maniac. Stats: 16/14/3.8 over 17k hands. His AF drops to 2.2 on the river, so I suspect he is giving up with unimproved hands on the river quite often.

Preflop: Jeff is MP3 with 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

Tight maniac....lol.

I bet the flop to try get information...unless he autoraises (i.e. no information). What about leading the turn and folding to a raise? Does he bluff raise the turn often?

Easy fold on the river based on your read. Even without that read, there aren't many hands you can beat.

Is the you reason you folded the fact the river was a king, or that he was a tight maniac that gives up on the river or both?

Yeah I'm not a big fan of the turn call either, the queen leaves you with just 3 hands you can beat.

Not a fan of this one.

Preflop: Fold would be fine. Raise is ok depending on the profiles of the players to act behind you.

Flop: Ok. Or bet or check/raise

Turn: How about betting out? Or check/raising?

River: Well, that's what you get for not giving him a chance to fold on the flop and turn, isn't it?

checkcall is really all you can do in this hand, but i agree on a turn checkfold and of course the river checkfold. people are telling you to bet/checkraise somewhere but the information you gain is entirely useless against a 3.8 so all youre doing is putting in more bets when you are behind his range of holdings.
