Default What should I do with my team? (Fantasy FB)

http://www.geocities.com/klagett/football.jpg

This is my first season of fantasy football. After this week I'm kind of lost.

Larry Johnson will be getting about half the carries this year, pay attention to your starting running back's opposing defense and you might want to put him in some games.

Derrick Mason will deserve some starting time as well many weeks on your lineup, pay attention to QB injuries and defenses again.

Fantasy football is a lot about putting the right players in at the right weeks. This week I didn't even start my first round draft choice, Shawn Alexander, and I put in Clinton Portis and Kevin Jones, just because I thought Jones would get more yards against GB and I was right he got me a couple extra points.

Insert Mason, remove Williams.

Keep everything else the same......for now.

Thanks guys. I was also wondering should I look for a trade for a WR? With maybe Larry Johnson or portis?

I completely disagree. Who's gonna throw him the ball? Not anyone very good. I'm not saying Harrington is good, but he's better than anyone on Baltimore's roster.

Get Johnson in, bench Portis next week. Look for some WR help on the waiver/FA wire- I'm sure there's lots. Better off finding WR help there than trading valuable RB's.

Do you expect people to accecpt these?

They get a rookie WR with a terrible QB, for a guy who is #1 and caught 2TDs this week ... acutally this is starting to sound pretty good.

I'll stop here.

QB: Play the better matchup
RB: McGahee every week. Portis/Johnson based on matchup and trends
WR: I'd look to get another reciever. But you don't want to give up a RB unless you're getting someone REAL solid. With your RBs, if you play them right, it will make up for sporatic play from the WR you have. That being said, Hines Ward is a good bet every week and Braylon Edwards/Roy Williams should be played based on matchups unless you can get someone off waivers. I'd keep an eye on Mason and just see how things go with that offense.
TE: Fine
DEF: I think you're alright. Probably play matchups again, but I'd lean toward Atlanta.

I think Mason will get his yards, the problem is with TD's. I've had some BAL receivers in the past and got some good yardages but dont count on a big week because TD's from BAL WR's are hard to come by.
