vs QQ who has a higher set. = drawing dead... or runner runner 4 or runner runner 9 .... almost drawing dead.

EZ call, I would have re-raised to 400 with a plan to go all-in on the turn.

Why not push, because you want action (I would want action)

wrong. you are discounting the fact that hero can hit quads. this is not drawing dead.

I'm not sure I know what either of you are talking about...look at how the hand went - a preflop limp with pocket Q's?

What's the point of betting 400? to leave yourself with nothing?

OP: Shove it in.

[/ QUOTE ]

actually, i wasn't commenting on the hand, i was commenting on his remark that OP could be drawing dead and that it was physically impossible to be drawing dead with that flop and his 2 pair.

as far as the hand goes, I call the allin with my shorty stack whether I am way behind or not. 2 pair is just 2 hard to pass up. If i were deep stacked and had to risk elimination, I would not go to war with bottom 2 pair unless I had a darn good read.

With your stack just shove it in and hope your up against two flush draws or top pair and a flush draw.
