That's cool, he told me he could do blanks with custom edgespots for $95/100 anyway.

Good deal, jump on it.

Wow, those edge spots are really inconsistent. Are the ones on top representative of the whole set? I'm thinking about getting some TRKing blanks with custom spots too...

Any of these chips left? I need some 1,5 and 25's

[/ QUOTE ]

I noticed the edge spot thing too, but I was aware of this going into it from the pictures of Hoefler's custom T.R. Kings over on the other forum. It just adds character

And sorry, there are none left - this was the only run of these chips...

Agreed, consistently inconsistent. I like it that way though. As I examine more of the chips, all have little imperfections, but you have to look for them. Too me it just shows how these are not mass produced, I really like it.

They are SO chalky! As I handle them they leave dust. The faces all look shiny, but the edges are really sharp and chalky, I'm sure they will look incredible after a little use.

Also should be noted before more ask -- the tourquoise on the $100 does not look right in the picture. It is definitely NOT the same as the lt. blue spots on the $1. The purple on the .25 is dark purple, not blue.

Hey Slowplay,

Nice job, the $1 might even be better than the original design. They look great! After seeing these and now that I have samples I am thinking of doing some custom TR Kings. When you get a chance, could you give a summary of your experience with the whole process.

Also could you or someone give the names of all the base and edgespot colors on each of the custom chips.

Thanks

Look carefully and you will see that each individual spot is the same on each chip but there are 4 sets of spots. It's the same with the 4*1 chips as well - looks like all the chips are unique but instead all the chips have a slightly rough hewn appearance that I like...

Default $1 chip update

$1 chip update:

I got two emails from him -- one saying he would give

"25 cents credit for each $1 chip".

A later email that day said

"if a person bought 100 $1 chips, he would have a credit of $20.00"

I asked him to clarify, haven't decided what I want to do, but since I bought 300, were talking about a difference between $75 and $60. For $60, I'd rather get them redone.

Default Badbeat

Well I took the badbeat of the night: My pocket aces vs. AK suited. Lost to runner runner clubs, the ONLY hand that could have helped him! Luckily we both run out of money on the flop, about a $60 pot.

I was pissed!

Tough beat, but more importantly - how did everyone like the new chips?
