Did I hear seat 8 right? I could have sworn I just heard:

"Why didn't you pump it up on the turn?"

"I was afraid he'd raise me back!"

cutoff = seat one to the right of button

redraw = say, I have a pair, and you have a flush draw. I can have a *redraw* for (say) a straight. It's a way of improving my hand.

Variance = the differential of my expected results from the normal expected result. A game can be described as "high variance" when you might be expected to win x, but because of variance your actual results might x +/- 10x.

Man, I usually love Bart and Dave but tonight.... the constant ripping/making of French people and now the Idaho tangent spawning from Dave's mention of DES MOINES, IDAHO... last I knew it was Des Moines, Iowa.. hm.
