Default just another overpair facing heat

SB is 57/8/1.2
I have a note that says he raised and check/raised the preflop raiser with midpair on the flop, two different hands that is. Furthermore he's not that aggressive postflop and I haven't seen him doing any crazy stuff.

BB is 31/5/0.6 over 75 hands

Tough one. If we raise and are 3-bet then we nearly have the odds to call a 3-bet, which means we probably would. And then we would probably call a river bet. I think I like a raise on the turn if I can fold to a 3-bet, so I just call the turn. If the flush card comes on the river then we can get out of the hand when BB raises. So, I like calling the turn.

I wouldn't raise the turn, but not because I couldn't fold to a three bet. You don't have the odds to call a 3 bet if raised and there is a good chance you will have to rationalize a river call with your overpair which really kills the odds to catch a miracle queen since you will be paying two bets often. Since I would fold to a three bet I rather just call down from here and give myself a small chance to catch the queen if he does have trips, and hope he bluffs the river if he's been on a draw. I really think you are beat here though. We always talk about small sample sizes with some pokertrack stats but it is much much more likley that this is a straightforward player with a .6 after 75 hands. I know there are players out there where folding to a turn bet is correct but I never manage to find it.

I like seeing a showdown from this position.

Once he caps the flop I will go into calldown mode.
