Re: Tough QQ hand
I don't think it will make a big difference.
It's really hard to say whether you want a call or not. If he has a lower PP or if they both have AK or AQ or something, you do want a call. If he has AA or KK, it doesn't matter. Calling this time, rather than pushing represents a stronger hand, but I don't know if he would notice or see it that way. The only time I think I don't want him to call (not counting AA or KK) is when SB has JJ or lower PP and CO has AKs. |

SB looks like AK and CO like a pair, I don't know what the first raiser has but after raising a quarter of his stack I don't think he can fold and I don't really want to be AI here against overcards and other random stuff when I'm have a comfortable stack and I can probably get ITM just by stealing blinds. |

Re: Tough QQ hand
If SB has AK and CO has a pocket pair under queens, I think I want CO to call.
Of course you can't see their cards, so it's not worth to much thought. I think there is enough dead money here to be willing to go up against AK. Anyone else who comes along after that is great. They may suck out, but their money in the pot is worth the risk. |

Re: Tough QQ hand
Fair enough. I still think I can pass a slightly + chip EV situation like that when any chip I lose is worth a lot more than those I win.

Re: Tough QQ hand
I have been thinking a lot about QQ because QQ should be the kind of hand that you KNOW what to do with. Regardless QQ sometimes is still dificult. In this situation I would get all my chips in the middle. I assume that Aces and Kings are in play and risk is involved but that is poker.
