Default Help me discover some new tunes!

I just got the new NERO 6 Ultra and I am dying to make some new mixes. What would REALLY be nice is if I had some new tunes to burn off. SO, I will tell you guys what I have been listening to lately and you recommend some stuff you think I might enjoy.

Thigs GrandmaStabone has been listening to lately:

Gorillaz - Demon Days
E an A
Atmosphere
David Bowie - Stage, Honky Dory
Common - Be
Sky Cries Mary
Beck - Guero
Immortal Technique
Bradley Noel - Live mixes
Seal

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

GS

Might not be your style, but I'll mention them anyways.

Lords of Acid

Especially the song "Sex Bomb!"

Oh, and Fu Manchu. They rock too.

Hmmm. Nice interface on musicplasma.com, but a lot of the references are only vaguely related.

I'd strongly suggest all music guide instead. It's maintained by some very sharp music journalists, it has very extensive coverage, in depth artist, album and song reviews, AND after you search on an album you can scroll down and see: similar artists, influenced by, and followers. Awesome stuff.

Folks/albums/comps I've been listening to lately:
- Hotel Costes series
- Hi-fidelity Lounge series
- Fila Brazillia
- The Kinks
- Paco de Lucia
- Seu Jorge
- Slightly Stoopid
- Astrud Gilberto
- King Tubby
- and "ultra lounge - the leopard series" kick-ass old school lounge!

Beth Orton- Galaxy of Emptiness

Trippy song- great when you're wasted and sober. She has a voice similar to Natalie Merchant except she doesn't suck.
