Default Please critique my PokerTracker stats: seeking to move up limits

I’ve mostly been a lurker here (for a long time) and only posted a few messages on this board. The reason I’m posting now is because I need help from many of the members here who are much more knowledgeable about the game than I am. Your insight would be greatly appreciated.

Please analyze and critique my PokerTracker stats. All of the below stats are from NL100 on PartyPoker $1/$2 blinds 6-MAX. I have played 20,286 hands at this level and am thinking about moving up to NL200 but want to plug as many leaks in my game before I do. Also, what suggestions on size of bankroll to play at NL200?

I’m exposing all of my stats here because I need help dissecting these numbers. Please tell me what you think of the numbers, give your opinion how my game looks (statistically speaking) and feel free to be as brutally honest as you like. Thank you.

I am not a no-limit player, but ... from your numbers you look like you are a major losing player who has went on an incredible run. Your VPIP of 43% has got to be way out of line even for 6MAX. Also, your aggression numbers look way out of wack to me. It looks like you are limping with just about any two sooted and have been rivering the heck out of the competition. I'd suggest you take some of your well deserved earnings and buy some good poker books.

If you're not a no limit player, why are you commenting on a no-limit player's PT stats? Obviously your limit experience would not translate to no-limit.

One day people will understand that you play no limit much differently than limit and the numbers will differ accordingly. I think it is possible to beat the 6-max games with VP$IP's of 20% all the way up to over 60%. In limit this would be impossible. I'm no PT expert, but your numbers look pretty good to me. I see a few more flops (50%), raise about the same amount (8%) and see the same %'s of showdowns (24) and get a slightly better BB/100 @ about 12.
Many profitable players are much tighter, but I find that many of the PP fish get crushed by not putting me on hands like 4 5 suited or 6 8 offsuit. Seems +EV to me. Good luck.

my recs....

you want VPIP lower. around 32 is good.

you want PFR higher. at least 10; mine is 15.

more aggression on the flop. don't know my number exactly, but my stats are something like fold 30%, call 7%, bet 33%, raise 5%.

good luck. and posting will help.

Not so sure on the VPIP. We obviously play hugely different styles so I won't comment further (I'm a 22/16).

Don't bother moving up, there's too few tables and you will have to wait ages. What you need to do now is start multitabling and get in about 30-40k more hands.

On that note, why do people bother waiting for so long for the Party $200 games? Are they really that much better than the same games (albeit 100BB stacks) at Prima or Paradise?
