question about athlon x2
i'm building a dual core computer soon and i've heard that in order to get the ahtlon x2 to work with most motherboards, i'm using an Asus A8N SLI premium, you have to get a BIOS update. does this mean the processor won't work at all, or just won't work in dual core mode. if the former is true, that'd be mighty inconvenient to have to find another 939 processor to use to update the BIOS before i can install my x2

Re: question about athlon x2
turns out my motherboard supports X2 right out of the box so it's not an issue (for me at least).

Re: question about athlon x2
It usually means [or atleast it used to be that way] that they just wont be recognized correctly but still work.
