Default What can you do?

When you've got the worst of two overpairs?

Pokerroom 6 max $25 pl
Folded to button who limps, I'm sb with 88 and call, bb calls.
Flop (75c) is 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
check, check, villian bets 50c, I raise to $2, bb folds, villian calls.
Turn ($4.75) 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. I bet $4, called.
River($12ish) 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. I put out a bet of $4, called.

Villian shows TT and MHING.

The last bet was meant to be a blocking bet. But I'll say that I've little idea how to use them? I think my play was rather crap, villian would have maybe folded a 7, would check down because of the 4, or may bluff a busted [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] flush draw. Oops.

I usually play no set no bet with these hands. If my 8's are an overpair i'm still not married to them. I probably would have called down but I wouldn't have folded.
