Overpair on semidangerous board faces two cold.
Here's an interesting hand that came up a few sessions ago.
This is IMO a situation that comes up quite often in the small stakes games. MP1 could have raised with virtually anything ( just taking a shot with his last money). I had a strong read on MP3 as a tricky player with the stats 50/8/1.5. I really got the feeling that he was trying to isolate MP1 and decided to call. What do you think, should I have capped and betted out on the river? Anyone cheering for a fold? I think I lead the river and call a raise if there is one.

Normally I'd lead the river as well but here I'd just check call.

Re: Overpair on semidangerous board faces two cold.
Sometimes when these loose, bad players are almost out of money, they will pick a decent hand and go "all in," putting in the remainder of their stack on a hand, whether or not they hit the flop. A lot of times they go all in Ace high. It's a strange phenomenon, but certainly not inconsistent with the mindet of a donkey.

Re: Overpair on semidangerous board faces two cold.
So, a guy cold-calls pre-flop, calls a flop bet then suddenly three-bets the turn in a multi-way pot and you want to lead into him on the river? Why? What do you think he has? Are you hoping he was just getting frisky and trying to take his pair of tens against the desperate all-in or what?
