Default not having position sucks.

hand against a TAG, likely 2+2.

Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB 3-bets</font>, Hero calls.

Flop: (6 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, Hero calls.

Turn: (4 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>

I'd much rather lead or c/r the flop here. I hate check to the raiser &amp; call down strategy.

99 isnt that small [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I should have said a small pair lower than the second broadway card. Since you have middle pair you really need to bet it. There just aren't a lot of Kings here you need to worry about.

Check raising an ace high flop against a preflop 3-bettor when you don't have an ace. What will happen if he has a hand you beat? What will happen if he has an ace?

he's either got a pocket pair or KQ, QJ, KJ. when i played the hand i got scared and thought the broadways might be more likely, but i think you're right that most of the time he has that small pair.
