Default Is this a bad river fold?

Well, from the responses to my stat post I've been trying to loosen up and stop folding winners, especially on the river. I just couldn't bring myself to call this one. No reads.

Yes, horrible fold. Even worse than bet/fold since you might have induced a bluff with your check. Terrible fold.

edit : just noticed the caller, which makes this a very bad fold instead of the worse fold ever :P

Yuck... Your the last to act with no one behind you so you know it can't be raised after you call. It's ONE bet and you have a set.

I can't imagine anyone calling a bet on a 4 straight/3flush board with hand that doesn't beat me.

Terrible. Even if you are raised on the river, do you really think you will lose this more than 5 of 6 times?

Actually you should win about 40% of the time, bet it and call the raise.

I like the check/call line to induce a bluff here.

That was the gameplan, but the caller influenced me to fold.

Many hands can call here. QT, JT, QJ for instance. A flush or straight would have probably raised here too.

Why? I guess I am saying that a card that finishes a bunch of draws does not seem like the optimal time to "induce a bluff". I would rather do it when my chance of calling and loseing is not increased.
