dogs in the NBA

From what I can see dogs are doing well in the NBA this month. Is this normal? Any stats on this? I see a lot of you bet on the dogs in the NFL do you do this in the NBA as well? Any info is appreciated.

Historically in the NBA, dogs and favorites are pretty close to 50/50, with a slight advantage to favorites if anything.
