Was I Right to Fold the Turn Here?
SB was a total LAG, no read on BB.
Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) Preflop: Hero is CO with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. UTG calls, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, Hero calls, Button folds, SB completes, BB checks. Flop: (5 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 players) SB bets, BB raises, UTG folds, MP3 folds, Hero 3-bets, SB calls, BB caps, Hero calls, SB calls. Turn: (8.50 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, BB bets, Hero folds, SB calls. With a flop cap and lead out turn, I put him on two pair. Should I have just called down? |

Re: Was I Right to Fold the Turn Here?
I've seen BB do this with QJ here, so I'll call down, but I'm not happy about it. You have enough outs here against two pair to call.

Re: Was I Right to Fold the Turn Here?
I would not fold this.
You have top pair with a great kicker. With no read on BB I would have to assume that my hand is best right now and I would call. While this pot isn't large yet, it has the potential to get there with SB involved. I would not want to be folding top pair, great kicker in a good sized pot that has the potential to grow large. My view for what it is worth. |

Re: Was I Right to Fold the Turn Here?
i would raise or fold preflop depending on the blinds and limpers.
i'd probably call this down. it looks like SB is not in his aggressive mode so if he calls (stop the action with your fold), you get some overlay. you have the odds to counterfeit a random two-pair although you are in bad shape against JT or a set. |
