Default Labor Day Weekend Trip to Vegas W/10+ People - Basics

I'm helping to organize a trip of 10+ people (all poker players, natch) to Vegas. Poker is the priority. Strip clubs also somewhat of a priority. Expense somewhat of a priority (we'll be sleeping maybe 2-4/room, and looking at a fairly wide range of $100-$200/room, though of course the cheaper the better).

I've read alot (primarily on this forum) about the best poker rooms, which casinos spread favorably structured games et al, so I think I have a handle on that.

Here are my questions:

1. Is the best strategy for getting a block of inexpensive rooms calling casinos and asking for their poker rates? What are better ways to go about this?
2. How much downside is there to not staying at a casino on the Strip?
3. I've heard varying things about Palms, anywhere from amazing poker room to shitty. Worth a trip?
4. Best strip clubs?
5. Anything specific to the Labor Day Weekend (better or worse packages etc.) I should be aware of?

Thanks again.

Al

Consider checking out the bachelor sutie at Bally's. I believe it runs about $750/night, but it has some perks which could be valuable to a group of partying poker players.
