Not trying to hijack the thread but if I have a laptop that doesn't have 1600x1200 res can I hook up an external monitor w/ 1600x1200 to get that resolution?

mine (Inspiron 6000) has a Pentium M 735 I think, with 1GB of ram and I have never had any slowdown issues with it.

It does not bother me, but I also drag mine around with me to work on at school. If I was buying one just for poker I would look at the 9300. If you have poor eyesight or are worried about eyestrain I would go with the 9300, or maybe it is time to visit the eye doctor. The main selling point of the 6K was that it is light enough to save my back, I think the 9300 is 13lbs, the 6K is 8 or 8.5 IIRC.
