Default A line from Cups recent sticky

Usually, I dont like creating new threads when I can just comment on existing threads (rant/people who do create new threads in the way are usually attention whores who think that their opinion is more important than the rest of ours/rant) but I feel the need to in this case. Here is the bullet in question:

5. Party is trying to promote a clean image and is proud of the fact poker is so well regarded. They feel that offering rakeback does not help this clean image.

In other words, they do not want to see their name in the same paragraph as the word rakeback. Its has been pointed out that they read these forums, and yet people continue to makes posts about receiving rakeback, what their affiliates told them etc. It HAS TO STOP.

I dont have any inside info, but really just stop talking about it in public. Party has stated numerous times they will not offer, endorse, or allow others to offer rakeback. You all have had affiliates in the past, know who is an affiliate and who isn't, and have your opinions on who to trust and who not to trust. You also know other 2+2ers whose opinions you trust. Its time to formulate your own answer to this problem and go with it.

PLEASE STOP TALKING ABOUT PARTY POKER AND RAKEBACK!

I suggest changing the name of the forum from (Affiliates/RakeBack) to (Affiliates/HunchBack)

Yes.

Those are the exact reasons why I feel this forum is absolutely worthless. It's just a gossip ground and a place for lazy people to ask questions that are easily answered if they just look.

The forum perpetuates it.

If Cup's post is indeed Party's OFFICIAL statement, then why don't the mods get behind that official statement and start deleting those posts? It makes sense to me.

There are plenty of other sites that are openly OK with player rewards from affiliates, so there's some use for a forum like this.

Am I off on this?

yes, this forum has not only become a waste, it has actually hurt us. Unfortunately now that 2+2 has turned this into a revenue generator we are stuck with it.

ALL crap in this forum should return to the RakeRebateReview from whence it came and where it served a good purpose. It does not belong here. It's like trying to play poker and being attacked by a bunch of Amway salesmen!

So Poker Al enlisted one of his minions to spread his message.

Making it clear again that I have no interest in rakeback/rewards whatsoever, the question still is: WHY SHOULD ANYONE GIVE A FVCK WHAT PARTY THINKS ABOUT ANYTHING SAID HERE?

Aren't those who sell a service or product supposed to care about the customers' opinions and not the other way around? Especially in a competitive market?

Ah, but those who live off other players' playing also care don't they? They care that the gravy train might come to and end. They are worried that they might (gasp) actually have to learn how to play poker well themselves, or worse yet (double gasp), GET A JOB!

i second your statements bluff. to go even further, since party decided to go public and stuff their pockets as much as possible(i am not saying this is bad), they totally screwed over all the skins, which helped get party to where they are in the first place. tradal.net practically help build party. party had to convince them to become a skin, they were doing just fine in the casino business.

if you look at this from a macro view and not just your small rakeback cubicle. party wants its cake and wants to eat it to. rakeback has merits for them, and it helps them, they just cant afford it with their stockholders, they crushed all the skins(which btw, there is a long road ahead for party and legal issues), and in doing so, ticked off a lot of players. a lot = those on these forums, not overall, please dont debate this statement.

i am rambling......i will try to be more coherent later when i have abetter keyboard/monitor to type on.

uh, me? no.

Common sense is how I see it. Rakeback is good for all of us, yet for it to exist in any way it must remain a private manner (in this case).

Of course the players arent the only ones to blame. One affiliate was dumb enough to make a post about the unmentionable and upon being censored, went and made another one. Pure genius at work.
