Default Playing HU against an aggro player

When playing HU I like playing aggressive. When on the button I will almost always either raise or fold (I hate limping in HU). I always try to take initiative.

The problem I have been having lately is deciding how to play when I come up against a player that is as aggressive or more aggressive than me. Do you tighten up against someone like that? Do you continue to push back?

Any help would be appreciated!

There is a good point mentioned about this situation in "The Professor the banker and the suicide king".
At one point, Andy Beal wins most of the pros money, because he plays very aggressive and they play back at him.
The important point imo is that there is said, if people play with very much aggerssion against each other, it becomes more a game of who gets the better cards.
The advice is to slow down a bit and not contesting so many pots, but out of this winnig more big pots when you're opponent doesn't slow down.

Leave the game, unless you're playing me

But seriously, aggression is everything HU. The flops being equal, whoever is the more aggressive will be the winner.
