What would your plan have been if on the turn UTG bet and SB called? What about UTG bet, SB fold?

So giving up 2 hours worth of money to POTENTIALLY confuse people is +EV?

The cost here is not 2BB anyways. Its only 2BB if both his openents call down 100% of the time and are drawing dead 100% of the time. Think about the sum over all possibilities. If UTG was done on the turn he won the same amount as normal. Maybe UTG has takes a shot on the turn after it checks to him... now Andy wins more than if he bet. The actual cost of this play for this hand is definitely less than 2BB. So yes including meta game this is +EV when done rarely.

This meta-game stuff for this hand and this level and this game at LA is overrated. Good/great players will know you pulling meta-game and won't fall for it next time and will properly adjust. Bad players won't pay attention. Overrated.

Hmm, I thought everyone was making this play relatively frequently. Isnt this right out of the HPFAP chapter on check raising?

I feel like I am playing my best when I am getting check raising in on hands like these. Of course in this case you wiffed - but that is the point, you need to use it to get free card with your AK.

Also, the fact that it got checked around means there was decent chance you gain no bets by betting the turn anyway.
