Default New Colorado Poker Room (Gilpin)

Looks like the Gilpin Hotel & Casino will open their new poker room on March 7th or 8th.

They plan to actually have structured games: 1/2 and 2/4 hold em, 7 stud and O/8 instead of the silly 2/5 spread limit (one $2 blind...lol) and 5/5 (two $5 blinds...lol) games that everyone else spreads around here. I've been told that CO is the only state to have a single blind hold em game, but I'm not sure if that's true.

Anyway, come by, play and toke liberally, as I will be dealing there!

No chance unfortunately.Colorado's stupid gaming laws limit all bets to $5.

I liked the poker room they used to have there. How long have they been w/out one? Always liked it there and the games were good. Might get to CO sometime in the next year, maybe will head up there.

The old Gilpin poker room has been closed for quite a while - at least 5 years. I never played there myself, but I have heard that it was the premier room up here and everyone was confused when they shut it down. My guess is that some manager dipshit realized that slots would be more profitable.
