There seem to be quite a few password management systems out there. What do people here use? Anyone got any recommendations? I'm looking for it to be secure and (preferably) free but apart from that I'm not bothered

PasswordSafe rocks. It's very easy to use, and free.

Damn I thought I was the only one who used them too. I've been using v1.7 and didn't realize they're up to v2.07 now.

I put the PasswordSafe program and database on a floppy disk when I need it (yes people still use floppy disks).

I have a different password for each and every site I use.

I use a program/service from hush communications (the makers of hushmail) called Just 1 Key. It works similar to most of the free/shareware programs in it's class, but has a few things going for it.

It doesn't require any software on the client pc. The encrypted database can be accessed via a secure connection using any pc equipped with the latest Java software.

If you mainly use the downloadable client from one or two machines, the program automatically synchronizes itself to the copy stored on Hush's secure servers. Should your pc(s) be lost/stolen, you're travelling or visiting, etc the information is easily retrievable.

Anyone know anything about this?

It looks really cool, with the fingerprint ID. Would it work with all of the poker sites, or just web addresses?

I just store a password hint, rather than my actual password. I have a few different passwords but the first character or 2 is different for each one. So I can just store the first couple letters in the pw database. (Won't help if you have a keylogger on your PC)

If you use Mozilla Firefox the passwords are stored automatic.. Very nice! I recommend everybody to switch browser to: www.mozilla.com

You will not get disappointed.

IE has supported this for years.

So has the original Netscape. Firefox (and Mozilla) just do it without allowing rougue software to be installed at the same time without the user knowing about it among other things.

Sure, but automatically storing passwords itself is not a reason to switch to Firefox or any other browser, as the previous post suggested.

Additionally, it does not work with many pages (such as Neteller) regardless of your browser, and website passwords is just a fraction of the passwords that many online gamers use.
