Default my home tourney structure

I was just wondering if this structure would work good?
7 players. 300 in chips. 1/5/25.
I want the game to last around 4-5 hours.
The players I am going to play against are beginners so I figure I should have lower blinds at the start.
blinds go up every 30min.
lvl1(1-2),lvl2(2-4),lvl3(3-6),lvl4(5-10),lvl5(10-20),lvl6(15-30),lvl7(25-50),***can't decide lvls 8-10.
example 1 = lvl8(30-60),lvl9(40-80),lvl10(50-100)
example 2 = lvl8(50-100),lvl9(75-150)
the second example seems like the blinds go up too fast considering there are only 7ppl. what do you guys think would work best? Or do you have any other suggestions? Thanks.

Default Re: my home tourney structure

That is the exact same blind structure I've used in my last 3 home tourneys with 8-9 players.

levels 8-10 are 50/100, 75/150 and 100/200 however we've only ever gotten to level 7 (25/50).

We take 5-10 minute break each after each hour of play.

Starting at Noon, we've finished between 4:15 and 4:45 each time we've played.

I would say try your first example with lower blinds but by that point with only 2100 chips on the table, unless it is heads up, 25/50 is already really high and 50/100 will make for quick exit for someone.
