Re: How hard do you argue against yourself?
I have noticed people ripping the rake. I agree that is sucks, but it's the same at Turning Stone where I frequent minus those antes. What is the typical rake for a 2/4 game in A/C?

Re: How hard do you argue against yourself?
Normally, my rules are:
1. A mistake that costs the house money does not deserve to be corrected. If a blackjack dealer incorrectly pays me off, or gives me the wrong change, screw the house. They make their money by exploiting people; I owe them nothing. 2. A mistake that costs another player money should always be corrected. Why didn't I correct this one? Mostly because the other players at the table were such bastards. The table was populated by rude, nasty, whiny, boring, obnoxious, pushy people, and I didn't feel a powerful need to argue against one of them who was "correcting" me when I called for a chop. Why was I playing this table? The casino was over an hour from my house, I came with friends who weren't going to be leaving for several hours, and it had taken me 1/2 hour to get a seat at this table. After about an hour I left in disgust, up a negligible amount, and went to play with my friends at the -EV games. All around, my poker room experience at this casino sucked donkey balls. I agree with you all, though: if I had it to do over again, I would have forced the split. |
