call the flop. call the turn UI. 8-1 on the river is hard. I would call hoping he bet QQ-88 all the way.

Raise. If called, lead the turn, and check behind on the river UI. If 3-bet, cap for a free card.

What's with the 0.50/1.00 slumming?

Well, he has AQ 12 ways (3 with spade), AQs 3 ways (no spades) in case your default doesn't 3bet AQo.
AK 6 ways (no spades)
TT 6 ways (3 with spade)
QQ 6 ways (3 with spade)
JJ 3 ways (0 with spade)
AA 3 ways (no spades)
99 6 ways (3 with spade), less likely with some defaults.

I was thinking you would want to find a raise somewhere, but there aren't any hands that would fold that you want to fold. The only hands you're beating that you might be able to get more out of with a raise is QQ with a spade and TT with a spade, and those are a huge part of his holdings. I'm thinking call down unless you hit a flush.

I don't know about you, but I don't give that much credit for hand ranges against a typical .5/1 player.

yeah i really think .5/1 is a completely diff game and you could potentially do your game more harm than good. fwiw, most of the hands you have posted i think u have played well so u may be just running bad. Hang in there mate.
