Default stars 5/10, river action?

Preflop on second thought i don't know if i like, as 33 is just sooo ugly... However button had done this small raise after a few limpers a few times.

Villain in this hand (SB) is decent, makes some $$, but loses quite a bit to me. I play with him tons, and he knows this, and is constantly trying to fix it (i.e. he is trying to stack me all the time, and will make big calls/folds/valubets etc... he is looking for an edge).

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $10 BB (7 handed)

Hero ($2535.50)
CO ($160)
Button ($217.30)
SB ($3143.25)
BB ($317)
UTG ($1303)
MP1 ($609)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
1 fold, MP1 calls $10, Hero calls $10, 1 fold, Button raises to $30, SB calls $25, BB calls $20, MP1 calls $20, Hero raises to $250, Button calls $187.30 (All-In), SB calls $220, BB folds, MP1 folds.

Flop: ($777.30) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players, 1 all-in)
SB checks, Hero checks.

Turn: ($777.30) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players, 1 all-in)
SB bets $390, Hero calls $390.

River: ($1557.30) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players, 1 all-in)
SB checks, Hero bets?

Also please include if you think i should fold to a raise.

Preflop is fine just bet the river whatever you're typical value bet size has been and i'm not folding to a CR.

The way I see it you have two options (and neither include folding to a check/raise, btw, given the action preflop and your description of villain ain't no way I'm laying this hand down).

Option 1: Value bet very large so villain can put you on a bluff since he wants to make a big call. Preflop looks like maybe just a random steal and now the A comes. If you bet around full pot, villain might be able to talk himself into a call with a mid pair saying you'd value bet the A if you had it so this must be a missed draw.

Option 2: Value bet, but value bet a little smaller than you might usually. Half pot or a little less even... induce a check/raise (and then don't fold! heh) Use this if you think he's capable of bluff check/raising. Given the sequence of events like the preflop ridiculousness, if he is ever capable of bluff check/raising, this would be the time for him to do it, so get him to bite. It is quite possible he has some mid pocket pair (too bad so many of them are sets, heh! but 77 or TT ish hands very possible or maybe suited connector 9T type thing) and now he thinks you might have the A, so if you value bet like AK but small he might think a big c/r will get you off it.

Did you see that there is an all-in player? Hero called a bet into a dry side pot on the turn. It seems far-fetched that anyone would do this without a hand, and then bluff to win half the pot on the river.

I don't think he puts you on AK, and I doubt he thinks you'd check that board with AA on the flop, so I'm confident he is not checking a better hand here... especially since you mentioned yourself he likes to value bet you.

I pot it (the sidepot - 650 - 750 or so).

Disclaimer: I don't play the Stars 5/10 game, I only play at those limits live... I'm sure there're differences.

I would raise the turn to protect or induce a 3 bet. Why is noone else advocating this? If im way off, let me know.

Since you limped in MP2 it could look to be a squeeze play but if the button making these small raises is very common it looks like AA or KK. Weird pre-flop action altogether but I would have to limit the SB to a PP or sometimes AK in that spot.

I would bet a little less than the side-pot, so around 700 since you could get called by AK, KK-TT. I would also fold to a CR since if Villain does put you on big hand he could check a set to you on the flop.
