I have always like watching him. I can't remember the event last year at the WSOP, but he said something like "Well even if I don't win today, I have made a couple new friends."
I think everyone around him thought he was joking, but I think he was being serious. Just seems like a really nice guy.

Don't see what the point of this thread even is.. plenty of poker players are decent, or at least just not assholes. Dunno what makes Gabe special.
Seems ok from what I saw on tv, but I read something on ESPN's site, I think, about him having a hissy fit over a WPT tournament having ten-handed tables instead of nine-handed. I'll see if I can find the link to that story, but I just can't believe those are the actions of a grown man. Doesn't sound like a classy move to me.
