Default Pokergoals 2005 - How are you doing?

Half a year ago we talked about our Pokergoals for 2005.

I just said "25K". Half way through the year, I'm at $12.2K so that's right on target Captain

Horrible. Really really horrible.

Last year went so well...

I have had THREE losing months so far this year. Last year I had none. I have made... um... about a third of my half-year goal.

I started 2005 with a $700 BR playing 1-2, with the goal of making 20k. I now 6 table 3-6, and have dabbed in 5-10, 5-10 6max. I'm currently making the move to 3-6 6max now that those tables have opened on party. I'm up about 12k for the year.

Well, I'm at like $13000 right now.... so yeah I'd say I'm failing miserably.

I want to have my bankroll at 50k by the end of this year. Currently I'm at around 37k. Started the year at 14k and spent some of it, so I'm a little better than my goal - but not much and one downswing away from being behind it. If only I could find more hours to play 5 / week isn't cutting it.

I didn't post in the goals thread you mentioned, but I did sit out and write some goals down in January so I decided to look over those again....

At the beginning of the year I had a BR of less than $25 and was scraping by at the .25/.5 at UB. I put that I wanted to make it to 2/4 in 6 months which I thought was an outlandishly lofty goal at the time. Turns out I've met my goal ahead of time and have probably made over 3.5K including bonuses. My goal now is to be beating 5/10 by the end of this year and to clear 30K. I think the 30K thing might be out of reach but the 5/10 should be do-able.

Nice! well done.

I made a goal to myself in the original thread to put more hands in and make as close to 200K as possible. All this of course was before I knew party would open up all the new 30/60 tables.
I'm already more than half way there and if I can keep it up barring a disaster I should be able to pass my goal easily.

I also made a goal to play more different games like pot limit omaha, omaha hi/lo etc because I feel these games would be more profitable for me. I have played 0 hands in these games this year compared to a bunch last year. I also wanted to finish more in big multi tournys. So far I don't have any major cashouts as I haven't been playing it as much as I would like and instead focusing on my limit game.

I'm a bit more than a third of the way to my goal for the year, but that's expected since I'm in the process of moving up in stakes. So pretty much on target.
